Not to long ago, Dixie Chicks did a world tour for the first time in a long time, and if you wanted to go but couldn’t, there is another chance for you to see it!. The country trio has announced that a two-hour movie will document their MMXVI tour and will be coming to theaters for one night only on August 7. According to the Fathom Events website DCX MMXVI–In Concert includes “a full set of Dixie Chicks classics…as well as a special, never-before-seen acoustic set,” according to the movie’s page on the Fathom Events website. The tour, which launched in Europe in the spring of 2016 before playing more than 40 North American venues in the summer and fall last year, featured a set list that included “Wide Open Spaces,” “Goodbye Earl” and a cover of Beyonce’s “Daddy Lessons,” which they memorably played with her at the 2016 CMAs.
